it is undoubtedly in this sense that we must see the enigma. a sort of metaphor for the cave.

"man but who is not a man" :

the human who has become so enslaved by an authority that he doubts his humanity, the bird on the stick and the gesture he makes when throwing the stone.

he does not realize what he is doing and the potential seriousness of his act (hurting or killing the bird).

there is therefore a reality of facts, a scientific reality and an alternative reality, the notion of doubt and irresponsibility
