Crazyhouse Summer League Rules and Format

Seems great!

The obvious question to me is, how are teams made?????

And, how do the matches work? As in, how many games played?

I've updated it and clarified some other issues.

Team formation: you just pick them. As long as they're below 2200, all is good.

3 matches, 12 total games played.

I'll open up another group for this event.
This is a sweet idea, looks like it's taking off!

Maybe it's too late to change the rules now, but imho there needs to be a rating minimum (for example, players rated less than 1800 count as 1800). Otherwise three strong boards and one very weak board is an optimal (and unfun) strategy.
I disagree, that team starts with a huge disadvantage by starting every match with a 0-1 score.
Sure, but that doesn't matter if you have, for example, three 2700s and then a 600 rated guy. You'll always lose board 4 but probably always win the top 3 boards.
I agree with #5 and #7. There should be something in place to ensure that the rating difference between the 1st 3 boards (or the average off) and the last board isn't too great. I'm sure others disagree. Maybe there should be a vote on this.
100% with atrophied here. Minimum ratings should be capped at 1800. If you allow sandbagging, the tournament just tranforms into a game of which team has the highest median rating
