Stockfish uses no time when playing computer

I just played a 5 0 game vs stockfish set to level 1, and it uses 2 seconds time for the whole game.

Which is very clever of it, but when I play 5 0 I expect to have some time to think while my opponent thinks.

I suppose I could just ask it to play 10 0 to give myself the thinking time I'd have when playing a human at 5 0... but am I the only one that thinks this is odd?
Much stronger players will most likely need less time than you. But playing against a computer and expecting it to play like a human is too much of expectation at this stage of AI development. Even simulating difficulty is quite clumsy these days.
That's interesting...

It's surprisingly difficult to play when the (computer) opponent is moving instantly, it creates a feeling of pressure. And the simulated difficulty is really odd - it feels like Stockfish at level 1 plays mostly perfect moves instantly with regular spectacular blunders thrown in. Feels very un-human!
Stock fish at level 1 just doesn't think! But still, you can adjust the level soo....
Stockfish 1 doesn't think but is a good beginner! Especially for me in racing kings :)
