Manually Sorting Puzzles

The following link is not a checkmate puzzle. lichess.org/training/43396
While aiming for checkmate, the opponent delays the outcome by losing material.
To sort the puzzles manually we need a radio button to indicate, if it is a «Checkmate» or a «Capture» puzzle.
Only the players that solved the problem could activate the tag. After 30 to 40 tags that say «Capture», it becomes permanently labeled as so. This will prevent incorrectly labeling puzzles.
If this feature is enabled, soon people will have the choice of doing checkmate puzzles or capturing puzzles. I find the capturing puzzles harder to solve.
I dot not agree.

The goal of a puzzle is to find the best move. By itself it means "practice" finding the best move.

It is a challenge to choose between a checkmate line (unsure) and a sure win of material.

It is a disappointment in a real game to lose after a miscalculate checkmate line.

how often did it happened to you? and to me....

How about another thing about puzzles:

I am interesed in how the puzzles are sorted in three categories (easy, normal and hard).

Is the number of needed moves to checkmate the thing. If so, which number of moves separetes normal puzzles and hard puzzles?

I found one or two puzzles that are solvable in 2 moves, was playing normal puzzles, but the puzzle had rating 1900+.
When i was playing hard puzzles there were a lot of puzles rated less than 1800.
So i am asuming that rating of puzzle is not the essential...
Woodswoods: The "difficulty" setting has to do with how the puzzles are rated relative to you.

"Easy" will give you puzzles that are on average much lower rated than you, "Normal" will give you puzzles on average about your rating, and "Hard" will give you puzzles on average significantly higher than your rating.

I haven't checked the source code to confirm, but based on what I've seen, I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
OK thanks. That' s make sense. It is all based relative to players rating at a certain time
