High CPU Usage when looking at some player/tournament pages

my Firefox 39.0 (on manjaro-linux64) is sometimes having big performance hits when i have player or tournament pages open.

doesnt happen on all players, but for example Voat's page is provocing this high cpu usage
Link http://en.lichess.org/@/Voat

It is staying at 15% CPU usage constantly, with no mouse movement and no keyboard input involved.

Can somebody reproduce this?

ps: i also noticed this on the summer marathon tournament page, but i can't reproduce that now.
Cheers for making lichess so wonderful devs+mods!
"It is staying at 15% CPU usage constantly, with no mouse movement and no keyboard input involved."

while the usual is between 1% and 2%
I'm guessing it's because of the trophy animation for the Summer Marathon trophy. I get the same CPU spike as soon as I hover my mouse over a Lichess donor trophy which triggers the flame/shine animation. It goes back to normal as soon as I move my mouse away and the trophy stops animating. Voat's Summer Marathon Winner trophy is constantly animated (even without the mouse hovering over it), as are all the top 10 trophies, which all give me a small CPU spike. Some other constantly animated trophies (like the Marathon #1 survivor) also increase my CPU usage.
I should add that you can AdBlock any of the animated trophies and that should get bring your CPU back to the normal level.
I have a really old machine, and it uses about 70-80% both in fx40beta, chromium 44 and surf (webkit) on archlinux.

This is the animations, mainly on the trophies but also rematch-flashing and the like.
0% with 3% peak on my page.
39% on voat's page.

Thanks for all the answers!

i was imagining that the trophies could be the cause, but didn't realize the animation before, i'm even failing to see it now :P

thanks for the adblock workaround ArcticPenguin!!
